  The Magical South

South India Tour Package, India Religious Tour Package.
Among the most sensational and coveted destinations of the world for discerning tourists is the southern part of India. This is a different country, varying in culture, history and landscape from other parts. Comprising the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala and the union territories of Lakshwadeep and Pondicherry, South India has a distinct flavour of its own. South India has many attractions to offer, ranging from temples and other places of worship, hill stations, beaches, wildlife, heritage and distinctive cuisine. Each state has its own originality. The sates of South India are home to people of various religious faiths who peacefully co-exist in perfect communal harmony.

The state of Andhra Pradesh is known for its spicy food, the famous Char Minar in Hyderabad and the markets nearby where one can shop to his heart’s content. The famous temple of Lord Ventateshwara, the richest temple in the world, located on atop the Tirumala hill near Tirupati is one of the most sacred places of worship for Hindus. An early morning walk at Tirumala, with the chanting of the “Suprabath” by temple priests in the background, is an experience that will elevate you no matter to which religious faith you belong.

Karnataka has its own identity. Its capital, Bangalore is the IT capital of India. The state has its temples and other tourist spots. Standing tall among them is the Mysore Palace. It is a mix of architectural styles. The sheer grandeur of the palace is breathtaking. It was the home of the Wodeyar dynasty. During the Dussehra festival this palace is illuminated tastefully and is worth going miles to watch.

Tamil Nadu is the seat of Dravidian culture and pride. When one visits the temples of Tamil Nadu, and there are many of them, the Dravidian influence is evident in the type of architecture. Among the most famous are the Meenakshi temple at Madurai, the Chidambaram temple of Nataraja, the God of dance, the Kanyakumari temple and the Srirangam temple. The seafront at Chennai, the capital of the state is 11 km long and is the second largest beach in the world.

Kerala is a state unique by itself. “God’s Own Country,” as it is aptly named elevates you to a different world. The beaches, the idyllic backwaters, the lush greenery and the swaying palm trees make you feel a sense of calm. When one travels by road into the rich Kottayam district one is greeted by a welcome board that says, “Welcome to Kottayam, the land of latex, letters and lakes.” Kottayam has a large number of rubber estates, spice plantations and a network of natural lakes among the green landscape.

Give us a chance to show you South India, known for the Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam forms, Pochampalli and Kancheepuram silks and the irresistible South Indian coffee and cuisine.
